"Our private chef experience in the countryside was nothing short of magical. We rented a villa in the Chianti hills, and the chef arrived with bags overflowing with fresh produce from the morning market in Greve. He began with a bruschetta trio using three different heirloom tomato varieties on bread rubbed with garlic and drizzled with Laudemio extra virgin olive oil. The handmade pici all'aglione, thick hand-rolled pasta with a slow-cooked tomato and garlic sauce, was the best pasta we have ever tasted. The main course was a perfectly grilled bistecca alla fiorentina, a massive T-bone from Chianina cattle, seared over oak charcoal and seasoned with nothing but salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon. Dessert was cantucci dipped in Vin Santo. Absolute perfection from start to finish."
