I am Jiri, a passionate chef of Czech origin who has found a second home in the enchanting Canary Islands. My culinary adventure began with a profound love for cooking, a passion that has guided me through a journey of discovery and innovation. I have always believed that cooking is an art that goes beyond mere nourishment; it is a sensory experience that should evoke emotions and create indelible memories. My cuisine is a reflection of my experiences and roots, a blend of Czech traditions and Mediterranean influences that come together in dishes that tell stories. I live to create unique moments through food, bringing a touch of elegance and authenticity to every dish I prepare.

Chapter Two

My Culinary Journey

I began my professional journey as a head waiter at Hotel Rozvoj in Klatovy, Czech Republic, where I had the opportunity to serve the president of my country. Subsequently, I honed my skills at Restaurant Sumava in Zelezná Ruda and Hotel Central in Klatovy, where I continued to manage events and immerse myself in Czech cuisine. My passion for cooking led me to become a cook at a catering service in Klatovy, where I had the privilege of cooking for weddings and corporate parties, exploring both Czech and international cuisine. In 2021, I realised the dream of managing my own restaurant, 100DOLA, where I led a team of eight people and had the opportunity to experiment with a wide range of cuisines, including Italian, Mexican, French, and Spanish. My experience was further enriched by managing a private chef service in Tenerife, where I continue to bring my culinary vision to an ever-wider audience.

Becoming a Private Chef

I chose to become a private chef because I want to offer a personalised and intimate culinary experience that goes beyond just dinner. My transition into this role was driven by the desire to create bespoke dishes that reflect the tastes and preferences of each client. I love bringing fine dining directly into the homes of my guests, transforming each meal into a unique and memorable event. My philosophy is based on attention to detail and the ability to adapt my culinary creations to the specific needs of those who choose me. Every event is a new opportunity to explore flavours and techniques, always maintaining a high standard of quality and refinement.
